December 15: "To the Future without Chornobyl!" Music Action in the Internet! December 15, 2000, at 18:30, in the Kyiv Palace of Sports, there was held a charity action "To the Future without Chornobyl'!", dedicated to the closure of the Chornobyl' power plant. The information agency "Satinform" was the main media-partner of the event. The general telecommunications sponsor "UkrSat" provided real translation of the action in the Internet. Everybody who wasn't able to attend the event at the Kyiv Palace of Sports on Friday can visit it virtually. The concert featured the country's leading rock and pop-performers: "Vopli Vidoplyasova", "Green Grey", "Brat'ya Karamasovy", "Plahch Yeremiyi", "Scryabin", "Druha Rika". The group "Scryabin" had worked out and on the Palace's big screen first presented a video clip for their song "Chornobyl' Forever". UkrSat offers new tariffs for those who access the internet by leased lines. November 17: The internet unites people UkrSat continues its charity program. Lately, it appeared to be not an easy task to connect schools to the internet which are quite distant from towns and cities, due to the bad quality of the telephone lines. But UkrSat sincerely believes that the internet unites people in some way. So it worth of trying. Anyway, there is no such problem that could not be solved. November 2: Charity Program "The Internet to Children of Ukraine" UkrSat's regional program "The Internet to Children of Ukraine", granting free Internet access to rural schools, is progressing. By the UkrSat's efforts, the global web's resources have become available to kids and teachers of the villages of Hermanivka, Hryhorivka, Trypillya, Chervona Slobidka of Obukhivs'kyi rayon; Velyka Motovylivka of Fastivs'kyi rayon and some others. In a near future all educational establishments of Kyiv oblast are planned to have an Internet access. October 18: The first village school has been connected to the internet A new stage of UkrSat's charity activities has been started. UkrSat in cooperation with Gamma-kluch internet provider connected a school at Germanovka village. The school was given all the necessary equipment and free access to the internet for life. October 5: UkrSat registered new domain Starting from today you can access all of UkrSat's Real Video archive through its new ukrsat.tv domain. Such videos as Bill Clinton's visit to Ukraine and press-conference with Zemfira at Tavria Games are available. In the nearest future UkrSat plans to broadcast news and popular TV programmes. September 14: Press-conference at SatInform On September 14 UkrSat holds a press-conference dedicated to the internet development in Ukraine. Live broadcast could be seen at www.ukrsat.tv Moreover, an internet chat will be provided in order to make it possible to question the guests of the press-conference from almost anywhere in the world.
